Dow - 11,284.15 down 42.17 points; S & P 500 - 1,249.01 down 11.30 points; Nasdaq - 2,285.56 down 25.40 points; Tokyo Nikkei - 12,938.50 down 156.09 points

TSX Venture Exchange - closed for holiday

Nasdaq Canada - 1,119.15 down 34.93 points

Oils futures:

Light, sweet crude: US$121.41, down $3.69

Currency:

Canadian dollar did not trade in Canada.

Gold:

New York Merc - $900.10 down $8.90

Gold futures:

New York - US$907.90, down $9.60
